—About our master reservation list—

Important information to read

We have recently started implementing a master reservation list. We are always looking for the most fair way to get all of our families a puppy in the most timely manner. When we take a certain number of reservations on a certain litter we are just guessing at how many puppies we think they will be. What we found was that if we took for instants four reservations on a litter and the dog only had three puppies that one family was not going to get a puppy because the next upcoming litter was fully booked too. With our master reservation list, families get put on in order reservations are received. When a litter is born we will start at the top and get in contact with the families to see if they want a puppy out of that litter or they want to wait until the next litter. As people get a puppy others will move up on the list. People never lose her spot on the list if they pass on a litter. We do ask that families choose to get a puppy within one year of placing the reservation. We are taking reservations on our upcoming litters. Mother nature will get the final decision as to when these litters arrive, but we are confident that we will have puppies available throught out the year.To reserve a puppy, please send me an email and would be more than happy to help you get on our master reservation list. A $500 reservation fee is required to get on the list for a puppy. Then remaining balance at pick up.

A few QUESTIONS and ANSWERS

Our focus is your new family member.

When will you have puppies?

Mother nature determines when all of our puppies will be born. We try to plan in advance, but unfortunately breeding times and birthing dates are up to the dogs. Their happiness and health of our dogs always come first there are times where we may skip a breeding at our discretion.

How will I know which puppies are available? Hocking‘s precious paws reserves the right to have first pick of every litter to keep back one breeding quality puppy to further our program. We will make our final choice at 4-6 weeks of age If we are planning to keep one back and which puppy we keep.

What is your selection process? Families can pick their Yorkie puppy at around 2-3 weeks old.Yorkies are a little different, because they come in many colors and some families are want a very certain color. Golden Retriever and golden doodle puppies will have a ”pick day” at 6-7 weeks old. This will have given us time to rate their temperament for families to choose their new family member. We try to work with you as best we can to give you exactly what you were looking for in your next family member. We try to help you choose on temperament first and look second. We would never match a very laid-back puppy with somebody looking for a hiking partner or a very spunky puppy with a family who has a handicapped child etc. We will always do our best to find the best all-around match for every family pic. If for some reason there is not a puppy in the litter that matches your needs and you can move your deposit to another litter she will never match a puppy with someone just because it needs a home.Your Happiness is important to us!

When can my puppy come home with me?Yorkie puppies can go to their new homes between 9-10 weeks old. The very tinies may need 2-4 weeks longer to grow and mature.Golden retriever puppies and golden doodle puppies are released to their new homes when they are eight weeks old and not before.

How does Hocking’s precious paws spend the first 8 to 10 weeks of a puppy’s life.We are there for every delivery. We want to get the puppy dried, warm and nursing as soon as possible. Each puppy is Wade and given a collar if needed as soon as the corn is cord is cut. This helps us keep track of each puppies development. Every puppy is way too times a day to make sure they are getting adequate nutrition. When the puppies are three days old we start using puppy culture/early neurological stimulation. This will continue puppy culture until they leave our home. Puppies are learn how to properly react to different stimuli as well as scary things and noises. When they are 5-6 weeks oldWe will introduce them to sleeping in a crate and learning that they should go potty outside or on a potty pad.

What should I expect when I bring my puppy home? You have to keep in mind that your puppy is still a baby. Your puppy may still have potty accidents well learning how to potty train. Your puppy may wine because it misses his family/home. Your puppy will have sharp teeth and may want to chew on things that it can’t have. Your puppy may spend a lot of it stays sleeping. Your puppy will have short periods of playtime and then he or she will need to take a nap.

What will my puppy come with? Each puppy will come with age appropriate vaccinations and worming’s. Each puppy will receive a full vet check by a licensed veterinarian before they go home. Your new baby will come with vaccination records, puppy food to get you started, a bag of goodies including toys, treats and a scent blanket with mom and siblings sit on it. Hocking’s precious paws will also always offer lifetime of support to you and your family.           Want to  know more?
